I have hunted every day since the 26, doing good considering I lost my best spot !! We limited on geese quick this morning, and while picking up had a lot of Mallards trying to land. We are staying longer tomorrow!!! Also broke my ring finger this morning, hurts like he11.

Glad to hear your season is going well except for the finger. Hoping to get on the lake tomorrow for some mallards.

Sorry to hear about your finger. Hope it doesn't slow you down too much. I've been out hunting a few times. Had a good day on Wednesday.

nice shoot John...did they come from up here on the big water? Yep. I haven't been seeing that many broadbill (although I think I know where they are). It's too bad because they're my favorite duck to hunt. I've brought the broadbill/redhead spread out on a few occasions but haven't hunted over it yet. On the plus side, I probably won't need to repaint the broadie spread for next year.

hunting has been slow for me second half, been hunting the niagara river and have taken one bluebill in five trips, not a lot of birds this year on the river, NOTHING close to what it was last year.

Shot a limit of geese on the 26th and haven't hunted to much since. Got on 2 ducks hunts this weekend with Pettit877. Hunted erie on saturday and got 2 whistlers. Saw a bunch of other ducks including mallards, blacks, canvasbacks and bluebills. Got a little dangerous so we left. Day two we hunted a creek for mallards and blacks and ended up with 4 mallards and 2 saw bills. A little colder that day for sure...Good luck to everyone as the season winds down!

We(3 hunters) shot 11 ducks this morning on Seneca Lake by 10. 4 redheads, 4 mallards, 2 hoodies and 1 black. There were a ton of divers flying, not too much for mallards and blacks. hopefully tomorrow we get into some more redheads, nothing like a flock of 30 making 5 passes at 40 yds then finally committing

Sounds like a very good day on Seneca. My wife said the north end was pretty well loaded today.
