after missing a nice lil 4 pointer early in the season i conected with a real nice doe i hunted everyday of the season with only seeing a handful of deer i was hunting with my uncle and we were putting on mini dives to each other i was sitting in a creek bottom when i heard some crashing coming so i got ready and then i seen to deer running right at me i let em get to about 35 yards stoped em and took the biggest one shot with a .270 150 gr double lung shot she ran about 10 yards and fell over it was the 1st kill with remington 770 viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=viewImage&friendID=98930591&albumID=2960128&imageID=51452270

nice work. i shoot a 770 as well in 243. They are wicked accurate rifles. mine easily does 1" groups with fatory ammo and 3/4 with my handloads. not to shabbby for a cheap rifle.

Congratulations. My 1st deer took me 9 years to shoot and that was 10 years ago. Way to go man. Before you know it, the meat will be gone and just the memory will last. If I could suggest one thing, write it down. I look back at my journal entries from the last 10 years of hunting and can remember being there at that moment in time every time. This weekend was my 23rd deer and I still get that rush every single time I see one. I know there are guys here that have deer in the 100's and still get that rush. Most importantly, don't forget to thank the One that put that deer in front of you.
