I am looking for some information on a reasonably price pair of binoculars to buy for deer hunting in New York State. I want to purchase a pair of small binoculars for my brother for Christmas.

I have always used cheaper brands but just got a Nikon 8x25mm as an early X-mas present. The quality is far better that what I expected.

i also did not want to break the bank so i got a pair of 10x42 barska from cabelas for 59.00 and i have had them for 5 years and i am extreamely happy w/them. they have things like bk4 prisim like higher price binos do. i put them on a bino strap system and wear them for all deer hunting. well worth the money.

I got a pair of binoculars from gander mountain around this time last year while christmas shopping. They are 10X42 "guide series" binoculars and they were $300 marked down to $150. I figured the deal was good enough an then while looking through them, I loved them. Easy to use and focus, come with lens cloths, chest strap, and a neck strap. Easy to wear, comfortable, and good all around binoculars. I hope to have them for many years to come. Good luck with your search!
