Thought it was about time I posted something here, I've been quiet far too long... ;D Here is how to make a body grip holder for use on hard ground. concrete, roofs and rafters. Start by cutting a piece of old security fencing, the kind that gets held in place with cinder blocks. You will need a section where there are 3 thin radial arms coming off a thicker central part. Now splay out the two outer arms on either side, like the image below. Keeping the thicker centre wire upmost wrap both of the long center arms around something to create a small spring effect leaving the long central arms projecting over one of the outer arms, like below. A closer look Now trim the central arms so that they project past the side arm by half an inch or so. Slip one jaw of the body grip under one short arm, and twist to allow the the other jaw to go into the spare short arm. Twist back again and presto! The trap is lodged tightly into the holder. The shape of this holder makes for a very stable set especially if the spring is also used as part of the stablising. A good run through against walls for rats and coons. I hope this post made sense... All the best T

Thanks guys, of course you can always forget the spring part in the middle and just bend the middle arms out to one of the outer ones and cut, I use both. They can be set on beams and joists, thick branches (cable tie) or against walls where house rats run close.
All the best

When the trap fires the jaws spring out from under the prongs and away from the holder. T

Derek- I think the wire you see in the back of the trap is actually the wire laying on the table. I thought the same thing when I looked at it. Optical illusion
