I am looking for some information on catching some perch in the bays of lake ontario in september and early october (before bow and trapping season open). If anyone can give me some information that would be great. I hear they catch fish mostly on minnows but I'm just wondering where and how to catch some. Any information is greatly appreciated.

No perch info, but I know the salmon is good around those times! We nailed them down Charlotte last year in october!

Just had a great day on saturday fishing up in Irondequoit Bay. the perch are starting to move in and we ended up keeping 39 fish in 4 hours of fishing. 11-15" were mostly what we kept. Had good action from 8am-1pm and went through A LOT of minnows. What a fish fry!!
