I hunt a property just like this in Fairport. 35 acres parcel but is only 200 yards wide and about 2 miles long. We hunt right behind the house where the guy has a small field on top of the hill. The deer congregate at the top . I would find the trail closest to the air strip where the deer come and hunt that, as long as it is 500 feet from a house. That is where I had my most success on the airstrip I hunt. Spend some time up in a treestand with a good pair of binoculars.

another great peice of property to hunt. If they are using the airstrip heavly then set up close to it where there are a a couple trails cris-crossing, that would be your best bet. A decoy during the rut may work well during the rut as well as bucks can notice it from a distance.

Another idea that I've had some success with. You could block some of their existing trails to divert them to your treestand or blind. Well before season, you might use a mower, weed wacker with a saw blade or a brush hog to make a trail the deer would follow. I've used a mower with the blade high up to clear leaves and short saplings to create a trail in the woods and I've had the deer follow it. I first mowed things to create a noiseless approach to my treestands and found out the hard way that the deer began using my new paths. If the landowner doesn't object, it might me worth a try. I once talked with another fellow that used a weed wacker in a field to make a path and it worked for him too. Good luck.
