does any one have any recipes they like for wild leeks? i have one for pickled leeks:
clean leeks and caught off stem about 3 inches pickling brine 2 qts. water 1qts. vinegar(white) 1 cup canning salt combine in sauce pan bring to boil cook 5 minutes pack sterilized hot pint jars with leeks and add brine to 1/2" from top install lid and seal (not necessary to process) if desired add garlic clove, hot peppers, and/or dill

I would love to figure out where to find some of these leeks. Every time I think I found some, they end up being daffodils.

i traveled 70 miles one way last week to dig a grocery bag full and visit and old friend. he won't take me to his stash only to a small satellite plot. got 4 pints of pickled leeks. two years ago i transplanted a lot(he brought to me at work) and they're just starting to multiply. trap hunt fish lobby 24/7
