Anyone else hitting the honkers this March? I found a field holding decent numbers by my house, hoping to film some of the hunt ;D

I'm going out sunday and monday after work. Did some scouting today and there seems to be fair numbers out. Also a good chance to try out a new shotgun, I got for my birthday.

sounds like a good reason to go hunting. ended up with 7 today but we had guys shooting geese that were circling our spread really wide and within range of them. but i shot my first goose in a couple months so i was happy.

Here of some pictures of the bashakill. It is some of the only open water in the area. As always, if posting pretty nature scenes, I got nothing.

Here is a pic from this past Saturday. should have killed twice as many but they kept coming in at tough shot angles due to lack of wind.

I am hoping to scout tomorrow after my last midterm ;D. I saw a couple hundred last flying over my dorm back the roost, just need to find where they are fatting up at.

Saw a huge flock of snows today outside of Utica. Probably 250 of them. Road trip anyone?

hopefully this snow stops the migration in its tracks, or even pushes birds back for a little bit. A friend at the northern end of Cayuga Lake has been seeing a lot of birds (thousands) just haven't hit where he has permission yet
