But I try ever year, LOL. Interesting hunt for sure. I dont have squat for time to hunt this year. Got out of work at 3 pm. Got walking in the woods at 4 pm. Sat in the treestand. just the right amount of snow (2 inches). I wasnt there 5 mins and looked down in the woods and say legs walking. Finally had a shot. Over a hundred yards. Way too far for shotgun and slugs, IMO. I do have a rifled barrel and rifled slugs (sabots). Last call....shoot or dont. Bang!!! took the shot. Buck never moved. just stood there. Steadied again. Bang!! Buck jumped for the heavens and bolted. Died within a hundred yards. Both shots in vitals. Sometimes thats hunting. Right place..right time. Just luck.

i see you did try again this year. good call though, the brow tines are where the flavor is at. just gotta chew the other one down to match ;D good shootin , luke
