The Fox Callers Guide, by Richard Faler....is a good little book and deals with night hunting and shotguns, which applies here in NY nicely.

I recently Picked up Calling Fox (Strategies for calling your 1st fox) By Richard Faler... Just gotta Figure out what I'm gonna call with. Tried the Cassette Tapes before, goofin' around didn't sound too real. Wondering which call to get? There sure is a lot of em to choose from.
Thanks again for the advice on reading material

Did you shoot that deer yet Issiah ?Im ready to go when you are. Some of the old tape sounds are far above some new sounds put out today.Get a caller that fits in your budget and and what you want out of a caller , remote , volume, clarity, number of sounds, how much are you going to use it, costs of batteries which some eat up like candy ect.You can do just as well with an open reed hand call as to electronic calls , pick up a howler and learn differant vocals and pup distress you can call coyotes. .Jump in slow or go full bore the options are endless.Ill tell you straight up , its your set up ,not so much the sound thats important, kinda of like lure or urine is to trapping and location.I think you stated you would like to call in reds - a mouth blown handcall, gun and have some fox around and you are good to go.Remember set up and the wind . good luck and stay in touch.
