Nice pics!
That looks to be a good sized woodcock. How many did you guys see or take?
I have seen 2 this year in a corn field that I out up while checking stands.

Not to be pesky or anything but I am new to the site and was wondering where about you hunted for grouse and woodcock in the adirondacks. My family just built a cabin near big moose lake (eagle bay area), and I see more woodcock and grouse on the golfcourses then anywheres else. Would like to spend more time up there this fall and just looking for maybe some state land thats huntable and has good populations! Thanks.

I've run into a bunch while trapping back in the Moose River Plains. Just up the road from Eagle Bay.
