Nice. Is the gun in the first pic a Mossburg 30-06?

always wondered what a 22-250 would do to a deer. heard some say great things about them and others poo poo the whole idea. guess the proof is in the puddin. were they all take with that rifle? luke

Vutvut, the deer in the 1st,2nd,4th and 5th pic were taken with the 22-250.The 3rd one was taken with a 30-30 and the last one was taken with a 270.

Nice pics!
How much of a blood trail does the 22-250 leave. I use a .243 and don't get much of a blood. Thats comparing it to a shotgun though.

Spikehorn11,a 22-250 doesn't leave much of a blood trail. If you put a good hit on them they don't go far at all.None of those deer in the pic's went over 40 yards. The deer in the 5th pic I shot in it's bed...you can see the neck shot.A 22-250 will fool you...they have lots of knock down power and can make a sizeable exit hole. The old doe in the 4th pic is proof of that. Not bragging or any thing like that but,I've killed over 50 deer with that gun.I like a 22-250 but, there not for everyone.

A 22-250 will bring down the big ones too.
