despite getting out late (5:20 am) I found myself between two birds this morning, both 150 away. one was henned up immediatly and this one........ first time using a decoy and wow what a difference it can make. he wouldnt stop struttin for about 5 minutes about 12 feet from that decoy. kinda tested my patience but i didnt want to tear up that fan. he got dumped at about 30 yds and i was dancing a jig. 20 1/4 pounds, 9 1/2 " beard and one 1" spur. other leg didnt even have a bump.
