Decided to try some Bass fishing for the first time this year....Headed out to a spot on the Barge Canal system where I had caught a wallhanger last year....Put on a drop shot rig and started working this area...Couldn't believe it the area seemed void of bass...Last year I must've caught 30 in a day with many of em' in the 14-18" range along with a couple monster's...I'm standing there watching carp swim around...making passes...then to my surprise one of the Carp seemed very long and skinny...It was HUGE!!! Must've been 20lbs Northern or Tiger Muskie....Off went the bass gear and I quickly went scattering to catch a worm to catch a panfish to use for bait...Spent a good 2hrs in that little hole trying to get that baby to bite!!! I'm wondering If it didn't eat some of those bass...LoL...Or at least scare em' away

You should get a bow for bow fishing. When the fish aren't biting bow fishing is the next best thing. Good luck on the pike.

Here is Picture of that Big Carp I was telling you about...I never did put it on a scale....Carp are very solid fish and I remeber it being a very heavy fish...It had to have been at least a few pounds over 20

There not monsters like issaihs but better than nuttin... they didnt fight very hard... early when we were fishing in the lake of the isles a guy i was fishin with was realing in something HUGE we got it to the boat and we went to net it and it let go and we brought up a keeper size bass... They were trying to say it might of been a muskie bit i didnt think it was i belive it was a monster pike..... plus this time of the year muskies wouldint be in 13ft of water..It was fun i enjoyed my self... Plus i caught the biggest bass and pike

Fished Below the Dam on Kayuta Lake yesterday in forestport,ny...the fishing was very slow for the most part but I hooked into one of the most freakish things I've ever seen fishing! I got a vicious strike and saw what I thought was a Nice Tiger Muskie or possibly a Northern....Fish was about 32-35" long...As I pulled it up to the boat I was in disbelief as I saw the fish was actually a pickerel....Pushing state record size pickerel!!!....As my mother (Who I was fishing with) tried to net the fish there was a mishap and we lost the fish....completely bummed; probably a once in a lifetime fish!

Ohh Yeah. They are all over up there. Thats all we caught up there was pickerel. Except of the snapper that hit a Rapala. My buddy told me that they use to or do hold a pickerel tournament on kayuta.
