The ice has been too thin around here for ice fishing, but it has been so warm open water is showing up again. I cast into a pond the other day at work for an hour or so. Don't catch anything but it felt good to wet a line again. Anyone else having any luck?

Coonhunter, I heard some really good things today about the fishing below the Dam at Whitney Point Res. Guy was saying a lot of Walleye come out of there (And The Lake) & some get big! Is there good access to this spot below the dam? How Big is the Dam? What's it like? Trees around or Cement? Thinkin about givin it a try.

Its really rocky.. I cant remeber the name of the road but if ur coming south on 26 form the lake.. right befor u get into whiney point there will be a dead end road...Take that and there will be a dec access parkinglot park there and walk over.. You can also fish on the other side just come in fomr the whitney point high school... There is a good bait shop in the town... The Sportmen den.. He can tell you the good places also.. (good pirces on minnows to!)
