I've never fished em' but have talked to quite a few guys who have...They get some Huge Brown Trout outta Cannonsville & Schoharie has alot of stocked trout with A good Walleye fishery. To fish either one you need a NYC water supply permit to fish and have to use rowboats that also need to be approved by the NYCDEP

Thanks Issiah, I will be keeping a boat on one of the two. I am just not sure which will be the best choice. I like the walleye option of Schoharie and I hear there are crappie as well.

There is Crappie in there too according to one of the fishing books I have. I'm down that way every friday (Stamford, Delhi, Walton) I'll try to ask around about the fishing.
Sure is a nice area to be fishing...can't beat the scenery!

Yes it is very nice. I just bought a place in Jefferson and am still learning the area. The Blenheim/Gilboa Resevoirs look really nice and I hear of excellent walleye fishing in the upper rRes. Unfortunately they are closing the Reses early for dredging etc. so I can't get a permit till next year.
