Did you catch the Bass through the Ice?.......That's a nice area down that way (Near Hatch); Great fishing! And not too much pressured either.

Yes Coonhunter the Land around the Lake is all privately owned. I don't think any one person owns the rights to the lake though! Good Luck on gettin those perch Spikehorn; hope to see those pics!! Today was day one of my weekend double header went up to 7th lake with Annie...It was pretty easy goin on top of the Ice but as the temperature warmed up today I was sinking down into slush up to my ankles. Couple more days of warmer temps and it'll be a mess!! There's a foot & a half of frozen slop on top and 15" of good Ice underneath! Saw a lot of fish with the vex but coaxing them to bite was a different story. Did manage to get a few though nothing real big but still had fun!!! Below are some pics...

Delta Lake today. Fished on Back side of Lake...Going was nice on top of Ice...A few inches of slush (Not Much)....A foot of FROZEN slop and 10-12" of good Ice. No Northerns! But lots of Chain Pickerel...Fished Dead shiners on WindLass Tip Ups. I've seen so many Pics of Monster Pike from Delta that I think I'm going to focus the majority of My frozen water Pike fishing there next year. REMEMBER PIKE CLOSES ON 3/15.

Someday I will have a perch mount. I want like 6-7 on a stringer on a piece of drif wood hanginf from the wall.
I have way too many ideas and hobbies and not enough funds for everything.

Went back out on Fourth Lake today; still more than a foot of good Ice!! I set up on the drop off from a big flat to the deepest hole in the lake. We used 3-4" shiners on tip ups. Did quite a bit of jigging too but it never paid off. Not even a nibble until 2:30 in the afternoon! I was there all morning! Just as the clouds started to appear and the High Pressure system was moving off we started taking fish. Ended up getting 3 Lakers ... Forgot to mention that I saw two mink chasing each other in broad daylight! They both ran under a boat dock.

Out on fourth Lake again today; saw a huge mink run across the road (Rt. 28) on the way up there! Unless it was a fisher; I still have trouble telling the two apart from a distance. Ice Conditions were perfect today!!! It was like walking on the street! Anywhere from 6-12" of good ice left. It's going quick though, signs of the upcoming deterioration of the ice are visible. If you go, go soon and be safe! (Adirondacks) Got one 27" Lake Trout in Morning and that was it! Perch action was hot!!
