ok well we kinda/sorta went hunting.LOL! we didn't realy have "time" to hunt but because the dog was already promised a hunt we kinda "had" to. he was paceing the floor and wineing soo bad there was going to be no peace in the house till he got to go. soooo any way... we took him to a small patch of woods close to home, walked into the woods a bit and turned him loose. he circled around and could hear him going back and forth looking for a scent/trail. he turned back twards the truck so we called him back.he came rigt back so i told him to "get the coon!" to witch he took off a a dead run bak to the truck and jumped in the back!! LOL!!! oops we forgot the coon that we put in the truck!! LOL!! any way rip got his coon!! we will go out again this weekend when we have time to actualy "hunt"

The dog is doing very well. Thanks for asking. he just turned 2 and is really making me happy. He runs a rabitt probably what i would consider medium to medium fast and seems to get a bit better each time out. I have shot 5 or6 over him but could have shot alot more. I like to let him run and enjoy hearing and watching the run.He is the only dog i have at the present time but i am planning to get 1 more in the future.

sure wish i could get my dog out more. but my truck is broke down and not alot of time. now deer (gun)season will be starting so not likely that we will be going out anymore . he is a good dog but needs to get out more. only been out for three very short hunts! but did get the two coons right off that one time. only about 50 yrds apart! but he left the tree on the first to get the second then left again. musta been so many coons there he got a bit excited! it was his first so maybe with more practice he will do ok. i am still proud of him!
