This is the first coyote I have ever shot. Shot it at about 5:00 this evening. This is the female, I missed the male. I seen this one first, and after shooting I seen the other one. I shot once but missed, that one was on the move!! A freind and I were hunting. He was calling, using a rabbit in distress and they came almost right to us. Going to try again soon, will keep ya's posted ADT2

Thanks ed.... she had a little of the mange on her back end so I couldn't salvage the pelt.. but I am having a shoulder mount done. From the nose to about the midle of the belly is really nice fur.. but from there back is pretty bad. But.. it's only on one side. Not the side thats showing.

Did some more calling tonight in a different spot. No luck though. It's colder heck here. Only about zero on thermometer. We ned a fresh covering of snow here to really see whats going on. The snow cover we have is ice covered and the coyotes and foxes don't leave any sign. I had to pull my coyote sets because of this icing. They were all under an inch of ice. I haven't seen anyfresh digings or scratchings either. Maybe they moved out? Just as fun anyways!!
