To bad the father wasn't carrying a gun. he could have got a shot off at one of them to see if they had rabies.

Hello Charlie, we had just heard about it earlier tonight. The lady at the time said one dog was still alive and at the vet in critical shape. She said they tried to predator call the coyotes, but had no luck. Is the cat attack the one from Williamstown,it sounds like the same deal, Coyotes eat the cat in front of wife and kid's. We have seen and heard about alot of canine activity lately from homeowners, maybe this years young are trying to get out and make a living on their own. See you Thursday at the meeting, Albert

coyote attacks are on the rise across america. this information is being gathered by scientists and reported in nuisance widlife control publications. they've found that the coyotes pretty much do about the same thing..first you see them when you normally would'nt, second is they are acting "not afraid" of humans when going about thier activities. third the coyotes come in closer and closer over time. the fourth step is usually a dog or cat taken. and then the final stage is an attack on a human. in my area ive taken 6 coyotes within 200 yards of houses in 16 days all within walking distance from my house. they had a big town meeting about coyote and fisher problems.
