Hey Ya'll Its been quite a few years since I've been active here. I started reading this forum when I was just a young boy. I learned a lot from all you guys. Well life got crazy with college, starting a career and getting married. But since we are now settled into our new home in northern NY I have been able to pick my trapping addiction back up in ernest. I have been targeting some new species that I'm not used to and teaching my wife the basics of trapping and reading sign. We are lucky to have bought a 100 acre farm in fur rich country surrounded by abundant state forest. At the end of the month we are expecting our first child (a boy) so Ill be passing on the trapping tradition! Over the last month I have been running a small line I can check on my way to work and figured I'd post here to show some of my success and catch up with some of you guys that answered my many questions on here or at the Genesee Valley Fur Auction over the years. ....... Well I'd like to post some photos but I can't figure it out (apparently I'm not the most tech saavy 26 year old) If anyone has advice or if I can send them photos to post that would be awesome. EDIT: I got it Thanks Jake

I’d like some feed back from guys who know more about cats than me. How do these cats look? They are my first.

Congratulations on getting married, your first child on the way and a 100 acre estate! That otter looks like a toad, keep the pictures coming...

Well, not knowing how tall people are can make it difficult or impossible to make a guess as to the size of something they're holding. But, given "average" height, and the dog, for reference - I'd say you've caught some big cats. Not white bellies, but large for NY. How big were they on the boards?

I have haven’t put them up yet. I might just send them out for tanning (my dad is a taxidermist). For reference my dog weighs 78lbs and I’m 5’9”. They are females as well. Regardless I’m super happy to have the opportunity to target a species I never could before. Thank you all for you kind words. We are definitely very lucky to be where we are! -Jake
