I'm seriously interested, Bobby. Just making sure you have the registration for that? Any hole or repairs needed? Still holding around the 185# weight mark here, sounds like it has potential for hauling many beaver & otter from those northern flows this spring. More info appreciated, partner

If the creepy guy from the southern tier wants it let him have it, I won't be able to check it out for a few weeks.

But if it's still for sale late this month, I might be able to buy that and ride with Bobby for a couple days on the water line. Stay tuned

One way or another I will be setting traps in the Northern zone on opening day as I have been since 1993.

Based on the fact that only one in 5,000 whitetail in New York State grows enough antler to net score in excess of 140" Pope & Young. It takes (125" minimum) Pope & Young to make it into the New York State Big Buck Club, I'd say it's a pretty safe bet that the President of "UNITED TRAPPERS" won't be trapping Beaver, Otter, or Muskrat in the Northern Zone this coming fall season.

I've forgotten more about NYS deer than you'll ever learn. Too much of your time spent killing slate rats during the rut
my next-door neighbor has a half-dozen 140 - 150 mounts taken thru the years within a three-mile radius of where I sit right now. And he has two on camera that will push 140... along with a 6-point that's at least 24" wide if not wider. That's the one I'd really like... low score but doorway wide!

I don't get these people that worship antlers. they don't get guys who worship slate rats and skank-dog NYS coyotes, either. Everyone's different... some guys even plan to vote for Joe Biden. Imagine that level of foolish insanity!

When I was a kid first learning to hunt I always admired a fine buck. I still do. But I admire far more the taste of venison and for me if not this years deer brown is down. I enjoy the butchering, cleaning that ribcase of anything red for stew and tacos, canning meat, etc. I have some nice racks in my home, one a wide 10pt that I could care less what it scored. The men I learned from treated every deer as a prize and worthy of respect. For me its about being out there in the woods, clad in wool, taking natures bounty. Not at all about taking a buck that I can post on facebook for bragging rights or to emulate the heros in the bowhunting rags and videos. So much of it is about taking me back 49 years to when I was 16 and looking up to the men who taught me, real woodsman who appreciated the time in the woods with friends and a chance to put venison on the table. Its a shame what it has become, guys with small weiners needing to feel like men by taking the biggest racks....

Yup, everything Austin does is to promote himself. But I really don't think he impresses anybody but himself.

A cursory check of the New York State Big Buck Club Records reveals no mention of Austin Passamonte's ever having harvested a 140" Whitetail with either a bow or gun. One can only assume that, as with his other alleged pursuits, his claims of trophy whitetail hunter status are just the passing of more excess gas !!! w
