I'd check out Groenewold Fur & Wool, Forreston, Illinois. gfwco.com They run fur buying routes through New York State and pay as well, or even better than any NYS In-country fur buyer. You can also ship fur to them. GROENY ROCKS !!!! walleyed gives them two thumbs up.

Hello guys, can you help me to solve my confusion about such happiness for getting $6.00 for a muskrat if tanning itself costs $5.25 May be I'm comparing oranges to apples.

You're not selling a tanned muskrat, you're selling a skinned and stretched and dried muskrat only. You're only investment is time.

Being pretty fresh in trapping I have a lot of questions. One of them is if a tanned fur market does exist in USA ?

There are multiple options open to trappers.
"In the round" is un skinned. You may have a tough time finding anyone willing to buy this way in the current market.
"In the grease" skinned but un fleshed, meaning all the fat and meat is still on the pelt. Again, you may have a tough time finding someone to buy in the grease currently.
"put up" This hide has been skinned, fleshed and dried to the buyers specification. Each animal has a "standard" when dried on a stretcher.
"Tanned" is when you send the hide to a tannery to be tanned, two different tanning options, garment tanned and taxidermy tanned. Garment tanned is what you would want, soft eaisily worked to make a garment.
Additionally you may find a market for the skulls, claws, raccoon baculums, etc. Google is your friend when it comes to marketing these other items.
Lure makers may trade you lure, or pay you cash for your animal glands.
