Evening fellas, something different this year with online license? To start ,after I completed my transaction,I see that the bow license had not gone through even though I requested it. Today I received my tags ,but at the end of the strip of tags there’s no actual license like there’s alway been. Needless to say my trapping license was not listed but it did go through because I was charged for it. I checked my email for my receipt and scrolling down to the end is a pdf where I printed my trappers license! Now instead of the back tag laminated paper ,my license is on printer paper. Perfect to carry around in the field! Sarcasm) anybody else had this experience?

I went the telephone route the second day the licenses went on sale. Getting through was a nightmare, but with numerous try's I finally got through. I found the agent not very helpful or knowledgeable, and ended up with one party permit for the wrong area. I purchased a hunting, fishing, trapping, license, and a doe permit. To this moment I have not received my licenses in the mail.I'm very disgusted with new, "better" system. Fortunately I did save the confirmation E-Mail and number. I already am concerned on how my application for a fisher license will go. I feel that if you purchase a trapping license you should be able to trap any legal furbearer without a special permit.Just more red tape. I just wish one of the fisher skulls I've been forced to submit bites someone in the arse to get some attention.

I just went to the local BassPro and done in 6 or 7 minutes. Trapping, Hunting, Fishing, Bow/Muzzleloading, everything including DMP's for the areas requested. And that was with a trainee at the register! Without her "supervisor" (a kid younger than she), it would've been excruciatingly frustrating. But it sounds like my experience was infinitely less so than what you guys went through.

Just got off the phone with decals. They seemed very confused that on the license I received by mail did not include the trapping. Went with the prolly will still come in the mail! They did say I could go to a vendor to have it printed. Defeats the whole purpose of going online! Adding insult to injury the closest vendor by far to me is Dicks! Anyhoo I now have all my license, I did buy my bow hunting while I had her on the line, had it printed at dicks. I now have tags and license printed that look like a CVS receipt!

Based on these experiences, I'll be going to town hall, as always.

Our Lifetime licenses arrived in the mail a few weeks ago. Last week I applied online for my (free...because of lifetime license) DMPs for me and my two kids...we all got the ones we wanted which was nice for a change!
I’m all warmed up for the deer season as I have been harvesting nuisance deer on a permit all summer for a pumpkin farmer (word of mouth from the little bit of nuisance trapping I do paid off). Luckily I bought a chest freeze last year!
..,,and now that I’m out of 12 gauge sabots I’m in trouble as they are currently non-existent to buy!
Good luck to everyone who still needs to get their licenses...if we see as many hunters as fishermen/women this season, better not wait too long to get them!

I hope they use them. Only interested in computers and games right now. Covid related I reckon. I got my license at town hall. It took about a 1/2 hour. Only because I gave out corn and tomato’s today workers. Small town life. Can’t beat it.

Well today I received two party permits, and nothing else, no hunting, fishing, or trapping license. What a way to run a railroad!

I will say I called DEC about my fisher/marten permit for this year and they called back within a hour and a biologist emailed me about collection of carcasses. I would of applied at the show this w/e for the permit, like every other year, but was informed DEC won’t be in attendance.
