Well I wasted a bunch of time and money painting traps. Thought I’d try it on my conis this year. Junk paint that doesn’t bond to metallike it’s supposed to. Do you guys let your traps rust before painting. Shouldn’t have too but I’m thinking the metal is too smooth. They were thoroughly de-greased. Also, why are there no tabs here for adding photos? Thanks!

I dip mine in 50/50 mix acetone and Rust-Oleum rusty metal primer and flat black. I have noticed it does bond better with a little rust

X2 Rust-Oeum/acetone But Full Metal Jacket is - better? Personally jury's still out, but FMJ much faster dry/"cure".

I spray paint mine with the cheap Walmart flat black or camo. Works well.
