I did not get one this year. From past experience I have found that Cornell/DEC surveys are very carefully worded to trick trappers into getting the answers that they want. Read and read again before you answer, if you answer.
A later bobcat season and fisher season would be nice.

For those that didn't get one, the question asks how you want to see the bobcat season in the expansion area. There are 4 choices they give you: 1) as currently, open Oct 25, close first day of deer. 2) late season, start after deer and run 24 days 3) split #1 - 7 days prior to deer, 17 more days after deer. 4) split #2 - 12 days prior to deer, 12 more after deer.
The question does say that prior surveys indicated that trappers valued pelt quality above all else, but also valued the opportunity to trap early.

That's too bad to hear nyrat, if you don't fill out the survey they'll have no choice but to do what they want. I know their decisions don't always jive with ours but I find I hard to believe our data isn't taken into consideration. I also vote because I do believe in the process that many of our soldiers died for on this memorial day.
I'm leaning towards one of the split seasons. Trappers always complain that "they don't ask for my input!"...and now they have and you guys want to throw them in the garbage. So when things change and you don't like those changes, remember to just shut up.
Yea like our opinions our considered. Never caught a bobcat that was prime before Dec 1st.
So true........ same as Fisher
