I have to admit, I have been a bit lazy of late! About my coyote hunting that is. Then I thought about that female coyote that was going to move into the area I hunt, not just to raise another pack of killers, but to kill every fawn it could sink it’s teeth into this Spring and pluck every hen turkey it could off it’s ground nest that it must sit on, day and night, for nearly a month. A gray fox was watching over my left shoulder, when I shot this female coyote last night around 4 a.m. at 120 yards using nightvision. It is my 15th of the season and “career” number 100. The fur is decent for this time of year. There is no shortage of coyotes out there. Several people have told me that they have them in their yards nearly every night. One report I received was from a young couple who have been up with a crying baby at night when they have come. Crying babies sound like an animal in distress and that's what appears to be bringing these coyotes in on a run!

Good job...Would love to see year round hunting of coyotes.... That... and a bounty administered through local animal control officers! Say... a thousand bucks apiece!
