I've seen deer down at the meat cutter's that would likely not weigh as much as that beaver! LoL
Congrats!

guys i really wish i could give you an exact weight, i looked all day for someone who had a scale to weigh it on, santa forgot to leave mine under the tree, it showed up monday.
it may not be a fair comparison, but i handle 50 and 55 pound bags daily at work and i promise it was well over 55. if i had to guess it was somewhere close to the 65 mark at the lowest. unfortunatly we'll never know the true weight for sure, the only thing i do know is it is by far the biggest we've taken in our short 3 years on the line.
was hoping to cuff its partner but ive seen 0 sign of beaver sense this one. i caught one two year old a day or two priar and then this one and its been dead sense. so i dont know if it was living on its own or what the deal is, i usually take 3-4 beaver in this area.
IF i can get the stars lined up right and somehow outsmart this beaver at another location about 1/4 1/2 mile down river, i got a good feeling it will be just as big, but hes eluded me thus far, and im trying everything i can to fool the darn thing!!
