Hey guys, I'm thinking about trying something diffrent this year for my dp traps. First some cheap candy corn on the bottom with a marshmellow on the trigger. Then a mixture of sweet feed, corn, fish pellets and candy corn. And then top it off with a little squirt of fish oil or anise oil on top. Can you guys think of anything to add or do you think this sounds good as is.
Thanks, Bob

Give it a try, should catch coon. If you have a trail camera put some of your bait out and see what happens.

I use cat food ,mini marshmallows , with cheap maple syrup, mixed together. With fish oil spread around it and for a visual attraction a white golf ball. That also helps to keeps the mice out.

Anybody ever use an egg on top of a dp? I have an abundance of eggs, and am always looking for a use for them. I've been afraid that it would draw stinkers and grinners.

I use a similar to walleyed's cap but with a golf ball to the pipe cap allows me to carry DPs set w/o springing them and golf ball blocks mice/water and adds eye appeal

for dp bait i make my own. in a 2.5 gallon bucket i mix up equal amounts of dry dog or cat food, mini marshmallows, sweet feed(calf starter),fish pellet, corn and raisens. doesnt go bad and coons love it!!. im just trying the golf ball idea. the local golf course has a water hole with an infinity of golf balls!
