first time putting up beaver (since the early 80's) and we always did the ol nail to plywood routine, "newfox1" (nicest gentlemen you could ever meet) let me borrow some beaver loops, soliciting input, i know the large auction houses prefer beaver to be oval (natural shape of the critter) however the loops essentially make a perfect circle, is it really that big a deal when it comes to auction time (aside from maybe losing a few inches overall based on shape)in regards to ovals vs circles, i really like the fact that the loops allow unrestricted airflow on both sides of pelt and take up much less room in the fur shed when drying (just hang from the ceiling out of the way) any input, opinions, advice greatly appreciated

I know you can buy a bar that goes across that hoop and makes it an oval shape.

i myself would like to get a couple of these beaver hoops but noone sells just one or two you gotta buy half dozen and i dont need that many, maybe its the way i got about stretching but it takes me forever to do it on ply wood and kills my hands, so for the room and like you said with the unrestricted air flow for drying they would be nice, and i think ill give the tension bars they sell for them a try to attempt to keep that oval shape to them.

Even if you're not close by (thank God I am!), shipping's not at all bad. Give him a holler.
