Congrats on your 1st rat. I have a few bottom edge sets out, going to get more out tomorrow and set for Mink at a few spots I saw tracks this morning. Good luck in the water.

I used to have access to a lot of water to trap, 6 different areas with one of them being exclusive rights to about 1-5/8 miles of lake and large feeder creek (ranging from about 450' as it enters the lake down to about 80' farther upstream), haven't had that "right" since the mid-80's. I miss it. Water's my favorite, and not having it was the main reason I scaled way back on trapping for so many years. Good job, and good luck - I wish you a great many more! Oh and btw, did mb650 just 'fess up about being a low-down sneaky dishonest sort? Reads kinda funny... j/k

nice job on the rat!! My first one took me 30 mins to skin and 10 to flesh, I'm sure many here can have it boarded in 3.5mins.. Give that flat tail an early christmas 330 necklace!

Trap thieves count as skunks. I hope you don't get any of THAT sort. Great job, really glad that you're having a great time at it! Proud of you.
