in the past I made chunk bait fresh and tainted and had it pulled from dirt holes sevral times and chewed on and then left by the site, would this be caused from to much sodium,or is it common for k9 not to eat it after its been treated with it? I did catch k9s with it with fairly well, but I believe that the ones i caught were on there direct approach, and not so much on working the hole. thanks

Dear Friend, Here's a tip that should help you. Make a 50/50 solution of glycerin and 100 proof vodka, and suspend your sodium benzoate into it. For example; in a clean pint jar, add 8 heaping tablespoons of sodium benzoate, then fill the remainder of the jar with the vodka/glycerin solution and shake well until the powder is suspended into the liquid. Both vodka and glycerine have preserving and antifreeze properties and are both palatable. Pour this mixture over your gallon of bait and mix well. You will get a better distribution of preservative throughout your bait and it will be more palatable to the critters. Regards
