so i went fishing in one of the finger lake tribs this last week for bows and noticed that the bows were gone but the creek was filled with suckers and shiners so i was thinking of trying to catch a few and run them through my grinder for coon/fox bait would this work or should i save my time...thanks ahead of time for any input

a good oily fish to make bait . you can cut up and layer in salt. have used suckers from catherine creek for years.

oo ya suckers r running here to guna stock up the freezer in the coming days..never tried suckers but im sure there a fine bait i see a tone ate up on the banks every yaer dont know why it didnt click to use them

suckers are also good to eat in the spring , you have to cut the mud line out then they taste good use to spear them in the spring when was younger , then my grandmother wound get all the remains & burry them in her garden she had one of the best gardens in the area.
