I often use the same boards for both reds and greys. BUT........
I have boards that are 6" inches (NAFA) and ones that are 5 1/4" inches (FHA) at the base.
If I have a bigger Grey and a 5 1/4 Board is available, I'd use that first as I like to stretch the Greys a little narrower than I do reds
Smaller Greys also go on the 5 1/4 "inch board.
The Grey's Foxes fur seems to look much denser when I put them up on the narrower board.
I have Got numbers of NAFA Top Lot Greys the last three years using this approach.
It just seems like Reds have much longer Guard hairs than Greys so you can stretch they a bit wider without thinning the fur than you can a Grey.
I am probably over-thinking it but you can't argue with the results.

I have had problems with a fisher.I used and XL fisher board and the front feet were still on the sides of the stretcher ,so I had to use an otter stretcher. I guess after doing some reading on the auction houses it seems width does not matter as much as length. So do you just bunch up the fur and hope for the best ? I can understand the pushing up as tacking up the tail area to make it look fuller but what to do if you need a base 2" wider than what the auction house calls for ? Inquiring minds want to know.

adjustable board stretchers, ive been able to use same 2 sized stretchers for fisher, grey, red, and coon with great results, key is long stretchers with 2 points of adjustment to choose from depending on critter, i use NAFA dimensions for closed stretcher for fox and coon and its great for all very uniform and never had problems fitting or removing

if ya got a hand router, saw and drill, extremely easy to make, costs about 1$ a piece in hardware (2 wingnuts, bolts and washers per stretcher), unless you gotta buy the lumber as well (1x5 is sufficient) once i made a pattern, i knocked out 10 adjustables in less than an hour

I took some of my fox, fisher and smaller coon boards and cut them added a pic of tin in a grove at the tip for a hindge and made some 1/2 x 2" with a bunch of holes to adj the width with. Worked so good now im going to convert all my wood strechers over. They make it easyer to put the furs on and adjust and to remove also.
