my son and I are just getting into trapping and we would like any advice we can get on a good bait to use for trapping coons thank you in advance for any help

My number one choice is fresh carp. Something about the oils in carp get the coon all happy! Number two is bluegill. I always use something sweet too. Usually molasses and mini marshmallows.

Canned Jack Mackerlial is hard to beat and it's cheap.

You can get mackerel at the dollar store for 2 for 1.00 on sale

Carp,sunfish,clams,sardines,jack mackerel will all work. Clams being my favorite.
