Good question Ed. I've only ever used fox. I see a huge difference in what I bought at convention vs what I collect. I think that matters more. Just my opinion.

Been told use bobcat as a change up. Same here. It seems logical. I'm seeing more reds nowadays. They seem to even aproach coyote urine. Just thinking out loud here but, I know from hunting coyotes/fox that often times (mostly for educated ones) if the sound of a non-native species is used, they come-a-runnin'!!! I guess it's a matter of how far outta' the box you want to go with it but, hey ya' never know!!

Urine is a communication scent, So it does not matter what one you use. every animal will come and see who or what is in the area.
I always use red fox, because my theory is the red fox is the low guy on the totem pole and every one wants to kick his\her butt

Dear Friends, CLEAN, FRESH urine is what you want to use at your sets. Bobcat urine should be used like a LURE ....down the hole or beyond the trap..never on the trap pattern.......Regards papabear

Dear Friends, I believe the Fox Hollow urine is an aged urine {magnum} that has a dose of aged glands {fortified} added to them. Mr. Bob Young is a master at his craft and his products have a fine reputation, therefore I have little doubt about his claims to its effectiveness. However I am a firm believer {from my experiences} in using clean, fresh urine at my sets.......I am very confident in the fact that foxes and coyotes dont piss aged urine....Save the aged urine for your lures and baits!.. Regards papabear
