Walshy. Grind them up. Leave them chunky for visual appeal. Put in a little fish oil to cover and sun render it all. Keep a eye on it so it don"t blow from gas . Keep away from animals and people. When you get the smell you want add some benz to it. Just before season,a month or so, add a thickener to it. it will be runny if you don't. A good spoonful at each set should do it.

You can use anything (flour, cornstarch, lanolin, even oatmeal) etc. I use skunk fat. Don't spend money on bait if you don't have to. Save it for gas!!!!

If you got the Craws, you'll get the coon!! LoL! You could try a few different combos, grape jelly, almond paste, anise, or just straight up crabs!! I think if you sun render it too long you won't have the visual appeal that Trapper Jack mentioned. It might turn to goo. I could be wrong on that though. I've never done it but, after I make another crawdad trap I'm gonna try (more for mink). I had two traps stolen last month. I suppose it wouldn't take long to catch a jarful by hand either!!!

Dear Friend, Course grind or chop. add 2 cups of sodium benzoate and refrigerate for 2 weeks to cure....After curing add 2 oz of shellfish oil and 1 oz of tonquin.....if needed to thicken add lecithin granuals to make a heavy paste.....good for use on all critters....Regards papabear
