Last Sunday i put out a couple mink traps, coils, conies and long springs. I was walking around a marshy beaver pond and their is a stream that cuts off of it and it was loaded with mink tracks. their was tracks and trails every ware. I set on the most worn down runways ware they enter the water and did a couple pocket setts and on the beaver dam their was tracks going over that into a hole. I set the hole also with a 110. Every time i went to check the traps the mink would go a different way. those mink aren't even using the runs that were all worn down from them anymore. And now they wont go in the hole in the dam either. What should i try? Thanks.

Just my .02. I get more refusals by mink to commit to a conibear that is on land. try using footholds. I catch about 80% of my mink in foot holds

Otter is right mink have serious ADD. they go along the same path until they go oh shinny or in reality oh a hole or something smell different over there. they don't have a schedule. wait him out and don't move your traps just set more. you will get him
