Built some new Floats this week and deployed a number of them off Local area bridges. We have already missed a few with some snapped traps but this morning we had a chain down with a victim at the bottom of the links. New Wave Dave with our "chain down" float. The Chain Gang Float victim. We used #1 1/2 Oneida/Victor Long springs with 36" chains. A dash of "Ontario", "Hudson Seal", and Lenon's "Muskrat All Call" smeared on the springs of each trap completed the set. Thanks for looking. walleyed

Nice to see those floats working for you.
I've thought about making some to try on a pond.

Nice catch. Whats the yellowish looking thing in the center? A piece of bait? I can't afford Bait. LOL That is a brass trap tag screwed to the float with My Trapping License # , My Name and Address, and my phone #. I also have two tags on each of the four # 1 1/2 Oneida/Victor. I believe the Mink was on the float trying to read the tag to see who it belonged to. LOL walleyed

Hi, I noticed there's some mesh/screen at the first several inches of your floats, what is it's purpose? Also, is that 2 floats setting on top of each other? Or is that the way you make them so there's an upstairs/downstairs to them ? Thanks, Steve

The hardware cloth screen is a "welcome aboard aid" to make it easier for "Scratty" to climb on (place to hook their claws, clamp onto with their teeth) to haul out
