The latest from Tim ( July 12, 2012)
The tooling for the Bridger #3 dogless trap has been done and ready to go for several months at the factory in Taiwan. Everytime they are ready to start punching parts and building this trap we have had to move other traps up in front of them as we would start to run low on existing models. I believe there have been at least 12 times that the new #3 dogless has gotten bumped from the top of the list. Dealers that have spent money advertising the other (existing) Bridger traps would hang me from the nearest tree if we ran out of current models to bring out a new one and rightly so.
My son Rob made a management decision last week to have a second set of tooling made here to produce the Bridger #3 Dogless right here in the U.S.A. This will take awhile to accomplish so he is having parts laser cut to get a jump on things while the hard tooling is being made. Please be patient while we get things up and running. Rob feels that he will have limited numbers of these ready to go in mid September. I don't know the cost yet, we will figure that out as we go. If we can build them at an acceptable price we will continue building the Dogless #3 here. Other options are to produce them here and abroad and let our customers choose. Time will tell. P.S...We are hiring! Thank you. Tim

Reading that letter and other things I've read (such as used traps going fast at conventions)....makes you realize that the coming season is going to be highly competitive. I would imagine rat trapping will see the worse of it, but all critters will see increased pressure. Not looking forward to it myself. You want to bring people into the sport...all you need is a fur boom. And how many of these people will join their state and national trappers assoc. ? Bandwagon trappers.

I especially like to seethat the traps (at least some of them) will be built right here in the USA!

Can't see why the Bridgers should cost much more than the MB's which are USA.And if they had a 2 piece baseplate the jaws could be made so that they could not pop out.A totally indestructible trap possibly.I am not a pro but I think a square jaw might be better in a hay/snow set than the rounded jaw types.

no...just seems like we've been hearing about this trap forever and everyone says they want to try it.
Then Tim delayed the production a few times....even more talk and speculation
I'm friends with one of Tim's trapping partners and even he was a little confused
It will probably be a great trap but like most people.....I just want to see it first
