I have processed 33 fresh caught rats yesterday and today, five had three or four small bites and only seven or eight had glands. I also processed fifteen beavers yesterday, the usual fleas and two had bites from fighting. Yesterdays beavers were mostly fifty plus pounds. Today I am looking at eleven more beavers in the forty five to sixty-two pound class that show no signs of biting, haven't gotten to today's fifteen rats yet. I have put up over a dozen mink this week so far, all males, and one male had fighing bites, I suspect came from after he was caught. Will stop taking furs if more show bites. Right now I have a nice bunch of prime XL - 2XL rats, haven't seen any singe in the mink, and have alot of 60" - 72" beavers for NAFA coming up.
