Today.................Today was the Essence of Trapping to me !! We started the morning out by setting up for and taking our first Barwall Shot...at times it seemed like some sort of Sports Illustrated photo shoot (unfortunately minus the models) we must have taken 100 pics , different angles you name it...I think we could have done that all day, just admiring our fur ;D But then we loaded up and headed for Stropes Outdoors in Addison, NY to meet up with Mark Boardman to sadly send our furs down the road .....what an awesome time !! First off Don the owner of Stropes , what a great guy, opens his doors to the Trappers to try and help with a venue to unload their fur...has a nice cozy little Trappin shop that we could have spent hours in tradin stories..in fact did for the better part of an hour right along with a fellow Trappers forum member...BULLDOZERJOE...was great to have met you today Joe...beyond putting names with faces it was very cool to meet someone who you had no idea who they were until you meet over the internet swappin pics and stories....Good stuff right there !! Mr. Boardman...A very big Thank You again !!....Very straight forward, down to earth gentlemen in my opinion...again I could talk for hours with this man. Thanks for taking the time today to do allittle teaching at the same time...it speaks volumes of you and I am sure you will see the results in next years furs when we come back to see you ! So in this our third season of Trapping our total was 20 K9s...12 Red Fox and 8 Coyotes...not pictured are 2 Coyotes, one lost to a dispatch gone wrong and the other to mange....Also missing from our end of season are 5 coon , 3 Beaver , and one mink....sold our coon and Beaver in January and mink was still in the freezer headed off to RedboneChick soon to be tanned along with the two yotes and the fox that are on boards in our Barnwall...throw in 5 skunks , 16 grinners and endless memories...and that was our season !! Today.......Today was everything I had hoped for and then some !! Not only did we get a nice little payday ;D Alot of planning, hard work and worrying paid off today. No our Barnwall may not be as impressive as some.......but we felt proud, proud to be standing in front of our catch...proud to know that all this homework we do is for something, that we are becoming better Trappers....proud to know that you didnt just ruin a piece of fur, but rather took something you simply read about and applied it and just plain learned thru hands on , gettin in the fur shed and tryin it...proud, to know we had sold a $40 fox, that we had put up....just plain PROUD !!! Thank you everyone on this forum who has helped us along in our voyage or simply admired or commented on our photos or stories....again Thank you Don at Stropes for making today possible and Mr Boardman, we look forward to doing business again next season...unless the next few weeks of Beaver treats us good, we might be seein you sooner ;D Almost forgot Don...........heres your picture as promised, of Ace luring up our Beaver set with that complimentary bottle of Beaver lure you gave us..... I guess we are gonna have to wait 200 and some odd more days to try out your Fox lure though Seriously what am I gonna do with all this spare time now............Spend it with my wife i dont know if we could both survive that.....maybe I'll start trappin mice for next years bait, i do have an empty freezer to fill up now !!!! ;D

Great Work! I suspect that the entire side of that Steel building will be covered next year Don's a good guy and he'll go out of his way to help you with supplies! I was going to stop by yesterday and visit, but ended up building a Leprechaun trap instead...

Nice season! I'm starting to think that graduating school and being home in the fall might not be as great as I expect with someone else catching all the fur out here. ;D
