Bought some traps yesterday. A couple of them are real big jump traps. I was wondering if anyone uses them for beaver and how good do they work? They seem to be pretty strong..thanks dave

I think jump traps hold up better with age than coils.I dont have any bigger than size two,but the ones I have are in really good condition for old traps.

I have used #4 Vic jumps for several yrs for beaver and haven't lost one yet.
Even held one by 1 toe on a drowner!
Add another swivel like Mole said and let 'em rip!!!!!!

I catch a few Beaver in mine every year. The only complaint I have with em is they can be a bugger to set. (slippery-muddy bank). MB
