Just got back from a fishing trip to the Adirondacks. Fishing was fair but the new waters we saw were awesome. Thought I'd share a few photos of some amazing country. Fished along the Boreas River to where it meets the Hudson River and walked the tracks back to the road. After seeing those RR tracks through this county can't imagine the work it took to put them in. Hudson upstream of the trestle. Hudson downstream of the trestle where it meets the Boreas River at the turn. Tracks across the Hudson. Two pics of the Boreas River. Many miles upstream on the Boreas in O L's back yard. The East Canada yielded a bunch of small specs. One day we saved a few for surf-n-turf.

We took Piseco Road from Stratford up to Route 10. After looking at the map again, that one picture may actually be North Creek at Knappville? It was just after crossing a decent sized bridge with the road taking a sharp turn to the right. Just a couple hundred yards up the road was a large pull-off area adjacent to a steep bank next to the creek and a camp just beyond. This one is a picture of my fishing partner along the East Canada where it parallels the road in the Oregon Pond area. There's a decent sized trib that crosses the road and had some specs. Some nice camping areas on the river side and a short walk to the East Canada where there's a steep gradient (picture doesn't show it well) and very large boulders. And some more specs. Too bad I didn't know you were that close or would have stopped by for some fisher trapping lessons!
