I live out near Albany and the hurricane that came through on Sunday gave us a considerable period of sustained winds that changed directions over the course of the day. I went out for a run that goes through a wooded trail and it seemed as if every acorn and beechnut got blown off the trees during the storm.
Anyone think this will affect patterns this upcoming archery or gun season?

they will still be looking for food , as the crop is on the ground it will be ate sooner though, look for apple trees , or find travel roots as they will still be using them to get to bedding areas but further away. it might be to your advantage.

We got hammered here in NH, I mean hammered. A lot of acorns blew off, but I was out this morning and I heard them still dropping. Our season starts here on sept 15th, so I think we will be ok. In fact, I think it will help early season. By october though, I think we might see some effect of so many acorns dropping during the hurricane.
