Not a big fan of bucket sets....but you can stablize your trap by pushing both springs down which usually locks the trap in place. It will also help if you secure the bucket from rolling too.

hate em (bucket sets), put the bodygrips in trails and fh in foront of a traiditional cubby. with the low population around me it just doens't seem to get that many coon. killls skunks and ferals like mad though so be careful.
a fh in front of a cubby gives you a shot at other smarter animals too....just something to consider.

On the bucket sets. To keep from rolling drill a 2in hole in the back from top to bottom, as you look at it from the front.. also I take another bucket cut in half and cut slots to match bucket #1 and cut a 4 in hole in bottom.. 4 small slits to make fit and bamm! complete and enclosed . and follows regs...

I run a 3/8" stake thru the bucket and thru the stake ring underneath to stabilize. Also a hole drilled in top near front for a lil stick to go into just behind the front jaw so it can't swivel into the bucket.

Carry your 1 1/2 coils and dp's in one bucket, baits, lures, hammer, and stakes in another bucket, then leave the rest of them at home! Just my $.02. If you decide you must use the buckets get the square cat litter ones. They work much better.

kirkwooder,i agree 100%,never cared for bucket sets.1.5 double coils are a multi animal trap that are hard to beat! other than coyotes, imo
