Hi all, 1st I want to thank Itrapny for makeing a place to post without worry about filling the trapper talk full of my hobby. Sunday, After the rain we got, I walked 2 fields and only came home with a handful of flakes. My wife works 2nd shift and We only have her car on the road. ( My jeep still in the for repairs) So I had her drop me off to field no.3 for the day. I walked for 2 hrs. and not even a flake, I did pick up a penny (Indian head, Can't make out the date) I walked to the other end of the field and picked up 2 broken 1's and what looks like a piece of blade. Yesterday, I went into a diffent area and had a little better luck. Attachments:

What do you do with all of your finds? Keep em? Do you ever donate some of them to research?

Most are in display cases. I have given some away, Traded with other collectors from diffent states. The man that got me into artifacts, His collection was broke up and sold to diffent musems after he died. Never to be seen again!!! Most musems have stuff they no longer know where it came from. This stuff does end up back out on the markets. I been asked to donate to a musem in Oklahoma. I have people wanting me to sell. By rights, They are not mine to sell. I'm just holding on to them for the next guy. As rocks are almost forever, and I'm only here a short time. Someday, I hopeing my son will get back into it, or when he has kids, He can get them inferested in artifacts. Saveing the past for the future!!! If you really want to see a collection. I see ya in GI. Look up Jim Fisher on River road. He's 1 of my mentors!!! And 1 heck of a knapper. Tell him finndog sent ya. I'm hopeing to see him at this yrs. knappin at Letchworth. If I can make it.
