Take beaver leg , Remove all fat and silver skin. cover with Montreal Steak seasoning. [told me any large grocery store should have it in the Spice area] Wrap in bacon and a little more of the Montreal seasoning. Wrap in foil , real tight so nothing escapes. Cook at 200 degrees in slow cooker 6 -7 Hours.
Enjoy

Carrol Black said if there isn't a grass clump where you want one dig one up and put it there. Kind of a flat set, small hole under grass clump with Night owls Holding Pattern in it, drop of red fox gland and a splash of urine on top, Works for me.

Congratulations on your beaver catch
That echo's a point ; always anchor your trap properly. you may catch something larger than your target animal.

Any animal that one might consider rare , I would not be broadcasting it over the air ways. What if someone all of a sudden gets their foot in the door and says rare animal,, Protect the Rare animal.. NY State do your part to protect the Rare Animal.. No Hunting, No Trapping Save the Rare Animal

Won a weasel box complete with snap rat trap installed. [like a large mouse trap].
Do I bait the trap like you would for a rat or mouse or use it like a step in trap. and bait back in box.
Thanks. Ed

For a first attempt you did very well. the pucker in the leg areas can be fixed when wet by trimming a little leg hide fur back.
but all in all you did well.

my opinion but I believe it would be to the advantage of all NYS Trappers if the term wolf in any way shape or form be left out of any open conversations.
