As long as they are Not alive and swimming ...Beaver make pretty darn good Bait for Weasel !!!
A dose of Anise or Syn. Tonquin (Siberian) on some slightly tainted beaver meat kind of Helps kick it up a notch in Cold Snowy Weather ... IMO

Years ago in this part of WNY weasels were very common and I usually trapped a dozen or so every year....now they seem to be almost completely gone. Not sure if is due to the increase in birds of prey or what but the habitat is perfect. Brushy creeks, swamps, culverts, etc. Hardley ever see a track in the snow anymore.
