I've had years when things have gone dead for 5 days straight. I have now gone 7 days with nothing in my K9 sets (22). New fox and yote tracks every night. Getting a little disgruntled!! Haha Maybe tomorrow!

Full moon, plenty of food and warm temps. Deadly combination. Same thing with the deer hunters. No one is seeing any deer this week. It will get better

I am having the same problem. Nothing for days now! Not even getting those annoying piles of canine scat next to the "perfect set". Hope the tide turns before the weather does.

For me there's always a hot start and then a week or so of stagnation. I usually freshen up sets, rebed traps maybe some fresh lure or even pull a few sets and move them. I'm trying to focus on Fisher mostly now. From mid November to December 10th that's really all I think about, it's just a numbers game. I wish they'd open it a week or two later and let it close after Deer season.

i hunt and trap in western ny. around the weathersfield area. seen 5 deer and having the same problem with traps. no takers. i got 17 sets out and only 3 reds and 2 possums to show for it. all though i did not freeze proof my sets and got beat at 3 of them. wool pulled out. the 3 fox i got i trapped when the temps dropped. hoping tomorrow brings good things. but this drought of animals is all over from the people i talked to.

Well, my streak of nothing came to a very disappointing end this morning. I did get a very nice, large, female coyote in a set that has been there for 2 weeks----and she had mange from behind her head---halfway down her back. all hair was non-existent. So disappointing! I put her in a huge garbage bag and buried her.

That sucks about the mange... Good thing you got her before she suffered a horrible slow death...

10 days now with 2 small coon. Pulling everything but a small line behind the house tomorrow. Time to get the hounds in shape and get ready to start running them when all the deer hunting is done!

the warm weather with no frozen ground I am sure is the biggest issue-plenty of natural prey and easy to get for predators!!!

I pulled traps on a 200 Acre farm this morning, because the farmer is gearing up to spread liquid manure on the place and then plow it under. There was a flat, tire track, in the dirt, running about 8' from one set. This morning, there were fresh Coyote tracks, in the mud--in the tire track-- and it never broke stride when passing my set. I am finding that the canines have very little interest in my lures/baits/attractors as of late. I agree with Mikeb----too warm and too much natural food for them right now.
